CMC was selected for the design and construction of a new 76,000 square foot distribution facility located in Conklin, NY that will be dedicated to Darden Direct Distribution. This was the fifth project that CMC has completed for Maines Paper
and Food Service.

The facility has nearly 40,000 square feet of refrigerated space that is serviced by a central ammonia refrigeration system. CMC and Maines secured several utility company rebates related to the energy efficient design of the refrigeration system and facility lighting. To further improve upon the energy efficiency of the facility, all twelve shipping and receiving doors were equipped with vertical dock levelers. To maximize the operational efficiency of the warehouse, CMC performed a detailed analysis of the inventory and designed a complete racking system.
